Kendrick Lamar’s good kid, m.A.A.d city easily tops my favorite hip-hop record of 2012, and the original “Bitch Don’t Kill My Vibe” is the my favorite cut on the album. So imagine my excitement when Jay-Z jumped on the remix. AND we get two new verses from Kendrick.
The Reason I Got 99 Problems is a tasteful combination of Skrillex’s hard-hitting sounds and Jay-Z’s phenomenal lyrics. This is a dope/fresh mashup we have here thanks to Mistermike… and it’s nicely put together! Where’s summer when you need it?
After many years of waiting, JT has finally found time to hit up the studio and produce some new material. Suit & Tie is the first of many as the musician is working on his new album, The 20/20 Experience. From a note on his website, JT states, “The inspiration for this really came out of the blue and to be honest, I didn’t expect anything out of it. I just went into the studio and started playing around with some sounds and songs. It was probably the best time I’ve had in my career… Just creating with no rules and/or end goal in mind and really enjoying the process.” I hope you guys enjoy the first single from JT, which is produced by his close friend, Timbaland.

“Prince William ain’t do it right if you ask me, Cause if I was him I would’ve married Kate aaand Ashley” Watch The Throne dropped today on iTunes! Go and get it now!! I haven’t even listened to half the tracks yet and I’m still calling rap album of the year. Download link.
“Sophisticated ignorance, I write my curses in cursive” The latest leak from my most anticipated album of the year Watch The Throne, due out August 1st. The beat is slightly underwhelming, considering how H.A.M. H.A.M. went, but the wordplay is still top-notch. Download link
“I handle my business, so I think I deserve to get throwed” One of my favorite hooks of all time, over a down south beat you just got to lean to. None of the artists slack on their verses either, a plain flawless track…
Ye and Hov are coming together to put out a collab album called “Watch The Throne”, which I predict will be the dopest album of 2011. I’ve read this is supposed to be the official single but I’m surprised they didn’t pick something more radio friendly. Produced by Lex Lugar, who has a knack for epic beats. Starts slow, but watch the buildup into the apocalyptic chorus.
