Ludacris feat. Usher – Rest Of My Life (Prod. by David Guetta) (Remixes)

As you may know, Ludacris teamed up with fellow music legends, Usher and David Guetta, to create this made-for-radio hit. Its theme is quite standard to the norm: YOLO type attitude, and it’s beat is very Afrojack-esque… eerily similar to Can’t Stop Me Now… but it most certainly will be heard around the globe and be played in every night club. However, with every hyped-up song comes remixes, and that we like! Here are some big-room sounds courtesy of Nicky Romero and Hard Rock Sofa. These are unofficial releases for now…

Marina and the Diamonds – Lies (Zeds Dead Remix)

The hip-hop influenced electronica masterminds from Canada, Zeds Dead, release a majestic remix of Marina & The Diamonds’ hit song Lies. This remix has a very calm vibe and exemplifies that less is more is sometimes the way to go.

Timeflies Tuesday – Die Young

Timeflies, a hip-hop/pop duo based out of Brooklyn, has some of the best freestyle remixes I have heard. They’re not strictly focused on making freestyle remixes — as they have their fair share of original works — but when they revert back to their old ways, shit hits the fan. This cover of Ke$ha’s top-charter, Die Young, will convert you into a fan, if you’re not one already.

Kendrick Lamar – Swimming Pools (At Dawn We Rage Edit)

At Dawn We Rage released a sexy, trap remix of Kendrick Lamar’s Swimming Pools. This is a prime example of why I love trap music. Not all of it is crap.

Zedd feat. Foxes – Clarity (Vicetone Remix)

What’s that? Another rager by the Dutch duo? Not surprised. These 20-year old producers have been releasing massive tracks one after another… it’s hard to keep up. Their most recent remix is of Zedd’s Clarity,  a fascinating illustration of Vicetone’s unique style. I’m hoping to hear more from these guys as we head into the new year. They deserve the recognition and support.
