Kendrick Lamar’s good kid, m.A.A.d city easily tops my favorite hip-hop record of 2012, and the original “Bitch Don’t Kill My Vibe” is the my favorite cut on the album.  So imagine my excitement when Jay-Z jumped on the remix.  AND we get two new verses from Kendrick.

Drake goes hard on this new track titled 5AM In Toronto, which is expected to be featured on his upcoming album Nothing Was The Same. From the get-go, Drake spits aggressive lines on top of an eerie and suspense-like beat produced by Boi-1da and Vinylz. I’m not sure the story behind this track, but it seems like he’s snapping on some peeps, fo’ real.

After many years of waiting, JT has finally found time to hit up the studio and produce some new material. Suit & Tie  is the first of many as the musician is working on his new album, The 20/20 Experience. From a note on his website, JT states, “The inspiration for this really came out of the blue and to be honest, I didn’t expect anything out of it. I just went into the studio and started playing around with some sounds and songs. It was probably the best time I’ve had in my career… Just creating with no rules and/or end goal in mind and really enjoying the process.” I hope you guys enjoy the first single from JT, which is produced by his close friend, Timbaland.

Here’s the remix of Rihanna’s lead single off her upcoming album Unapologetic, due out November 19.  Kanye West goes in, further reiterating which clique is on top of the game.

ASAPRocky.org just leaked a massive track featuring the rap game’s biggest rising stars (with the exception of 2 Chainz). I’m loving the simplicity of the beat; it allows the rappers to showcase their talent while still playing a huge role in the track.

Don’t be hesitant to press play. I know I was when I first saw that Far East Movement has a new song out, but it’s not all that bad. Little Bird exposes the group’s more personal side, giving them a chance to go deeper into their song writing. “Little Bird is the metaphor for everyone’s desire to always search for more, sometimes not realizing that what you might be looking for is right in front of you.” The video does a nice job portraying that.

Ball is T.I.’s latest single off his upcoming album, Trouble Man, due mid-December. This song kind of goes against what I said in my J. Cole post, but damn… the beat is infectious and the chord progression used in the chorus is so good! Not to mention T.I. is a family man and still goes hard!

I’m surprised Kanye is able to produce as much as he has been lately… I figured Kim Kardashian’s ass would occupy most of his time. Recently dropping a collab album with G.O.O.D. Music, Mr. West is working on an upcoming solo album which I’m assuming White Dress will be a part of. This is more like the Kanye I like; very similar to his earlier work and less of the mediocre work he’s been putting out.

I remember when Pretty Lights played So Bright during his set at Red Rocks Amphitheater in Colorado. The composition of this song, from the chilling piano riff to the distorted glitch-hop sounds, bouncing off the two huge boulders that this venue is made from was incredible on its own, but adding in the visual effects from his LED towers and his colorful lasers made the experience surreal… and unforgettable. I highly recommend seeing him perform if the opportunity arises, but until that time comes indulge yourself in this.

J. Cole is a rapper I truly respect mainly because of the truth and meaning behind his versus. It’s none of this petty bullshit we hear on our radios about going to clubs and getting drunk on Ciroc. Who gives? This is too good for radio anyways. Apparently Kanye West will not be attending the MTV Music Video Awards tonight, but he coincidentally drops his new single right before the event. Is this part of an act that he has planned for the audience tonight? Perhaps. Clique, a track on G.O.O.D Music’s compilation album, Cruel Summer — due in stores Sept. 18th — features Jay-Z and Big Sean, and comes fully loaded with hard-hitting drums from producer, Hit-Boy.

I’m not really the one to share hip-hop music on the Vibe. It’s not that I don’t like it, it’s just that I never find anything worth sharing… until A$AP Rocky came into the picture. This young rapper blew up with his critically acclaimed mixtape, LongLiveA$AP. Paper & Plastic is another massive track to add to their resume — Chiddy’s fire-breathing versus fit so nicely with Xaphoon’s dub-ish style beat. Boss material.

Kendrick Lamar is ready to blow, appearing in 2011 as a XXL Magazine Freshman (in a group that included Yelawolf and Big K.R.I.T.) and being cosigned by the biggest artists on the West Coast.  ”The Recipe” is rumored to be the lead single for his debut album Good Kid in a Mad City that should be out this spring.  Future Cali anthem right here.. the beat is straight melted butter… Dr. Dre still has the touch.

I have never heard of these guys before, but it appears that they have released a few solid remixes of today’s most recognizable songs… one being Coldplay’s Fix You.
