Throwback Thursday- Will Smith- Summertime

The temperature’s about 88, hop in the water-plug just for old times sake…break to your crib, change your clothes once more cuz u’re invited to a bbq that’s startin at 4…Yo Vibeaddicts!  To kick off the official start of summer, I thought we’d bring you not just a hip hop classic, but the greatest ode to summer ever written. As a guy that appreciates solid references and memories, no one brings these out better than Will Smith in his 1991 school’s-out ANTHEM, “Summertime.”  Big Willy talks about every aspect of summer in such a descriptive and non-nonchalant way that it makes you feel like you’re 12 years old again, and that last school bell just rang…Guy’s out HUNTIN, and girls doing likewise…honkin at the honey in front of ya with the light eyes!  She turn around to see watchu beepin at, its like the summer’s a natural aphrodisiac! ~JMoney Download link
