Throwback Thursday – Wu-Tang Clan – Triumph

The Wu is back on tour again, taking the Shaolin style as far as Australia. ”Triumph” is one of my favorite cuts from the group, partly because the beat bumps so hard but mainly because Inspectah Deck’s first verse is probably the dopest thing I’ve heard: “I bomb atomically, Socrates’ philosophies and hypothesis can’t define how I be droppin these mockeries, lyrically perform armed robbery.” I mean for real? For some current Wu, check out this ridiculous freestyle Method Man dropped on the Tim Westwood show. Download link
